What are Night Clubs/Lap Dance venues and how do they really work?

Night Club example - SD Events & Management

A Night Club is a night venue with an entertainment and public performance licence, characterised by a soft, intimate atmosphere. Inside, customers can listen to music, dance, have fun and enjoy drinks in the company of adult women of various nationalities.

Today, with the national economy struggling, many venues in Italy have adapted to the crisis by becoming less exclusive and more affordable than in the past, designed to satisfy every type of customer and budget. For example, in some Night Clubs having a drink in the company of a beautiful girl can cost as little as 10 euros.

In Italy the Night Club has become a place where any customer, of any age, can easily find nights out and entertainment for every taste and need:

  • Live music and piano bar
  • Karaoke entertainment
  • Themed party nights
  • Fashion shows and contests
  • Sexy Star shows
  • Birthday parties and stag/hen nights

Nowadays almost all Night Clubs have removed the entrance fee and the compulsory drink, making them less selective and accessible to younger customers too. A night in "sweet company" at the Night Club is surely more rewarding than spending it at the bar around the corner, don't you think?

In a Night Club customers can order bottles and drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic as they prefer, but also eat fruit, pizza, toasted sandwiches and other paid dishes to enjoy with friends or in the company of the Club Hostesses in the venue.

Here instead is what is FORBIDDEN in a Night Club:

  1. Bringing in and/or using drugs
  2. Getting drunk
  3. Having sex
  4. Starting fights or dangerous situations
  5. Harassing the girls who work there

The web is sadly full of news stories about Night Clubs being shut down for breaking Italian law

Entry to a Night Club is allowed only to adult customers: it can be free, paid or reserved for members only, depending on the internal rules and the type of venue.

As for opening hours and opening/closing days of Night Clubs, in Italy the situation varies a lot and mainly depends on 3 factors:

  1. The habits of the local clientele
  2. The choices of the venue management
  3. The time of year in tourist areas

For these reasons there is no precise rule: some clubs have a fixed closing day every week (some even more than one), while others are always open, every day of the week and of the year.

The vast majority of Night Clubs in Italy open to the public at 10 pm and close at around 4 am, from Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays closing time moves to around 5 am, due to more customers staying until late.

The staff employed in a Night Club is made up of the following professional figures, each with their own duties:

  • Bouncers: in charge of security
  • Waiters: serve customers in the room
  • Bartenders: run the bar at the counter
  • Cashier: keeps the venue's accounts in order

What the girls do in Night Clubs

The girls working inside Night Clubs are hired as Club Hostesses (Figuranti di Sala) or Lap Dancers and are paid to entertain customers in a healthy and cheerful way: their task is to make the night fun and never boring for the guests.

But above all, to be honest, they have "the mission" of emptying the customers' wallets by encouraging them to spend as much as possible!

Inside a Night Club, depending on the type of venue, you can admire up to a maximum of 60 girls, although most night venues in Italy have a maximum of 15/20 in the room.

What "drinks" (consumazioni) are

To enjoy the company of the girls in the room, customers simply pay the Night Club for THE TIME they spend with them: these are called "drinks" (consumazioni) and the price of each varies between 10 and 30 euros for 15/20 minutes, depending on the venue's price list.

If a customer spends an hour with a girl in a Night Club where a single drink costs 15 euros for 20 minutes, at the end of the night he will pay 45 euros at the till, having had 3 drinks.

What the privé is

In Italy, Night Clubs may have a more secluded area called the privé: in the venues that have one, customers pay for it as a separate service and the cost always depends on the time spent with the girl.

In SERIOUS, well-run venues, the privé is a private area of the club where customers can enjoy the company of the girls in a more reserved and intimate way:

  • No physical contact is allowed
  • No shows or striptease are allowed
  • There is no pole to dance on
  • A bottle of Champagne is served
  • You talk and have fun just like during a normal drink

In Sexy Disco and Lap Dance venues, on the other hand, the privé has a pole and lasts a maximum of 10/15 minutes: unlike Night Clubs, the Lap Dancers are required to go topless as well as perform a sexy dance in a private show.

Club Hostess (Figurante di Sala): how the job works

Club Hostesses

The first phase of your job will start with the usual preparations: from the shower to make-up and hair care. Right after dinner, at around 9/9:30 pm you will have to be ready to go to work. It will be the venue staff's job to pick up all the girls staying in the accommodation, you will be driven to the Night Club and then home at the end of the shift (this obviously applies only to the girls who choose to stay in the apartments offered by the venue).

Work in a Night Club usually starts at 10 pm (in some venues at 11 pm), but you will arrive at the venue about half an hour earlier: you will have time to change in the dressing room and put on your favourite sexy little dress with a nice pair of heels.

Finally you are ready to start! At this point you just have to walk into the room and sit down with the other girls, your colleagues, waiting for the first customers to come in. The clientele you will deal with in Night Clubs is made up of adult men of any age. So you will deal both with the young, handsome guy and with the sad old man of the day.

Your approach with the customer

Let's get specific, i.e. how your approach with the customer happens: in some Night Clubs you will have to introduce yourself, while in others the waiters will help you and introduce you. Sometimes it will even happen that the customers themselves come to you and introduce themselves of their own accord, making your job easier.

As soon as you start chatting with the first customer you meet, a waiter will immediately come over and ask you both what you would like to drink: you can order for free, both alcoholic drinks and soft drinks of your choice. In many venues you can also order fruit, pizza, etc.

It is a myth that in a Night Club job you have to drink alcohol: many girls are teetotal and only drink water and fruit juice.

Once you have ordered your drinks, you and your customer will choose together the ideal spot to spend the evening in the venue:

  • Standing at the counter like at a bar
  • Around the dance floor
  • Sitting on a more comfortable sofa
  • Or in a more secluded area of the venue

Whatever spot you choose, you should know that it is from this precise moment that your first "drink" officially starts with the customer.

When the time is up, your first drink is over: at that point the waiter will come back to ask the customer whether he wants more drinks with you or wants to stop. It goes without saying that the more pleasant your company is for the customer and the more time he will want to spend with you: consequently he will have more drinks, spending more money.

During the night you will have drinks with different customers and hardly ever with just one: for example 5 with Francesco, 6 with Luca and 2 with Tommaso, for a total of 13 drinks at the end of the night.

You will finish work at around 4 am roughly every day, from Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays you will finish at about 5 am because more customers stay until late.

To wrap up at the end of the shift, you will go to the till and be paid every day the agreed amount: at least this will happen 100% of the time if you decide to work with our agency in the certified Night Clubs, our trusted partners.

What do I do if a customer gets touchy?

Simple! You take his hands and firmly put them back where they belong, explaining to the customer that if it happens again you will get up and end the drink. These are situations that can happen (though rarely) during Night Club work and that you surely already experience first-hand in your daily life: it happens at the bar, in the disco and elsewhere. So you probably already know how to handle it!

Club Hostess: how much she earns

The daily pay of a Club Hostess is determined by the sum of the fixed wage (from 60 to 100 euros per night) and the various commissions on the drinks, bottles and privé sessions that customers buy: with the "tiered" pay (fixed + commission) a Club Hostess earns from 1,800 euros up to 4,000 euros a month for the most capable girls!

Will your starting base be 60, 70, 80, 90 or 100 euros? Here is what your fixed daily pay will depend on:

  • The type of venue chosen (and the city)
  • Your experience in the job
  • Your looks
  • Your skills

As for the privé (a simple, legal 10-minute private show), it is not available in every venue but it is very popular with the girls, who earn a commission on it in addition to the fixed wage. Thanks to the privé a Club Hostess can easily earn even more than 200 euros a night...

...while for Lap Dancers the maximum earnings are unlimited, as the following screenshots show:

Lap Dancer: how the job works

Lap Dancer

Lap Dancers are good-looking girls with a talent for public relations and a flair for dancing: they wear skimpy outfits or lingerie and high-heeled shoes.

The Lap Dancer's task is to "approach the customer", i.e. introduce herself on her own initiative, to invite him to have drinks in her company or to take him to the privé.

The girls work in the venues 4/5 nights a week since most Lap Dance clubs stay closed two days a week for rest. Working hours are usually from 10 pm to around 4 am.

The Lap Dancer's job consists in entertaining the customers who are having drinks with you, talking, joking and having fun in their company while enjoying a good drink. In the privé, instead, you only have to perform a show reserved for the customer, dancing on the pole and going topless.

As for Club Hostesses, NO previous experience is required to become a Lap Dancer. We constantly welcome girls who have never had any stage experience or pole dance training. Don't worry, it is simply a matter of moving naturally around the pole, and with time and experience you will gain more and more confidence and skill.

What customers pay the venue, as already explained in the previous sections of this article, is only THE TIME during which they enjoy your company: these are called "drinks" and each lasts 15/20 minutes depending on the internal rules, while each privé lasts 10/15 minutes.

Lap Dancers in the venues can optionally perform public shows on the stage dancing on the pole to three or four songs of their choice, during which they will have to go topless.

During Lap Dance work PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALLOWED and in SERIOUS venues the privé is always supervised by a waiter or bouncer who discreetly makes sure the work is carried out properly and by the rules.

Lap Dancer: how much she earns

The fixed daily wage of a Lap Dancer is usually 50/60 euros, to which are added the various commissions on bottles (on some bottles the girl can earn as much as 50 euros in one go), drinks (2 to 5 euros each) and shows. The proceeds of the privé are split in half between the girl and the venue (i.e. the girl receives 25/30 euros for each privé lasting 10/15 minutes).

The fixed wage is paid by most venues once a week together with the drinks, while the commission on the privé is paid every day at the end of the shift.

Unlike Club Hostesses who work in traditional Night Clubs, a Lap Dancer can earn STRATOSPHERIC amounts if she manages to do many privé sessions.

We know many girls who earn even more than 500 euros in a single lucky night!
